Since 1991, The Family Business That Cares.
Choosing a new medical provider for your prosthetic/orthotic needs is a big decision. You’re choosing not only a manufacturer for your device, but also a partner in your journey to acquire the independence you deserve.
Here are several reasons why thousands of patients in South Florida choose us:
Our focus is you – only you!
We understand the importance of providing personalized service in a patient-friendly atmosphere. It all starts with listening to and understanding your needs, concerns, fears and goals. What do you want to achieve with your brace or prosthesis? And how can we best help you get there? The answers set the course for all of our interactions with you, from the very first evaluation appointment to ongoing FREE follow-ups.
A teamwork approach is the key to successfully helping you reach your goals, and YOU are the most important member of that team! Working together with your physician, physical therapist and family members, we make sure that you are highly involved every step of the way.
Our staff has over 60 years of expertise in this field. At Huse Artificial Limb & Brace, you have the expertise you deserve.
We have a fully equipped on-site laboratory where we manufacture and adjust
custom prosthetics and orthotics. Our in-house lab gives us complete control over the manufacturing process to produce only the highest-quality custom products. It also enables us to fabricate and adjust prosthetics and orthotics in a timely manner, limiting wait times for our patients and allowing for true customization of your device. Our manufacturing process combines the expertise of our technicians with some of the most advanced prosthetic and orthotic technology to deliver both function and expert craftsmanship. We are able to capture the custom fit that will allow for the most comfortable orthotic/prosthesis you have ever worn in your life!
We utilize computer-aided design and manufacturing, which offer the most sophisticated measuring tools and resources for optimizing the customization. This technology allows us to capture measurements and body images without the need for casting. CAD/CAM is used for prosthetic and orthotic designs to efficiently obtain accurate shape images and reduce the time of the manufacturing process, as well as document ongoing physical changes of the patient. We also employ accurate laser technology to ensure proper alignment and biomechanical designs of our products.
Force sensors are utilized to recognize the force pressures exerted within a prosthetic socket, enabling our board-certified prosthetists to achieve maximum patient comfort. Microprocessor knees and bionic technology increase patient stability and reduce energy expenditure during ambulation. Vacuum-assisted suction socket technology provides an unparalleled atmosphere for maximum socket suspension, comfort and limb health.
Functional electrical stimulation AFOs allow electrical stimulation to actively prevent drop foot and have been successfully implemented for stroke and MS patient populations. Stance-control knee-ankle-foot orthosis allows for more natural gait mechanics and single stance support for those suffering from a proximal lower extremity disorder resulting in knee instability. We utilize various materials to fabricate functionally effective orthotics, including dynamic carbon technology.
Our laboratory staff includes some of the most experienced technicians in South Florida.
Our in-house capabilities, combined with our supplier relationships, allow us to offer you a wide range of both ready-to-wear products and custom devices that incorporate today’s most sophisticated components. The result is a device that gives you the ultimate in comfort, durability, functionality and aesthetics.
Insurance coverage, especially for prosthetics, varies widely depending on the patient’s plan. Our knowledgeable staff will work with you and your insurance company to explain the benefits and limitations of insurance coverage.
Let us negotiate your insurance coverage. We have been very successful at overturning denials for prosthetic limbs. Let us appeal your claim directly to your insurance company.
Your orthotic/prosthetic needs are medically necessary, a part of your successful rehabilitation, and we always do work closely with insurance providers in order to meet your needs. We will help you understand your insurance benefits.
